Dr. Abhidha Shah is a full-time Consultant, Neurosurgery at Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai. She has more than two decades of experience in her field. Dr. Abhidha completed MS (General Surgery) from University of Mumbai in 2003 and MCh (Neurosurgery) from University of Mumbai in 2008. She secured highest marks in final MCh examination and bagged the Gold medal for the same. She also did a Fellowship in Endovascular Surgery from Mayo Clinic Rochester, USA.
Her areas of interest include: • Skull base Neurosurgery • Vascular Neurosurgery (Open & Endovascular) • Craniovertebral junction surgery • Neuro-Oncology (Awake Surgery, Brain Mapping and Intraoperative monitoring) Dr. Abhidha has 150 Publications in peer reviewed and indexed National and International journals to her credit and 14 book chapters with 70 presentations in National and International meetings. Dr. Abhidha got the Indian society of Neuro- Oncology President’s award for best Clinician Researcher in 2019 and Best paper in International conference on complications in Neurosurgery in 2021.
She was awarded the spring 2014 Women in Neurosurgery – Greg Wilkins – Barrick chair visiting International Surgeon award in 2014 and the Vesalius award in 2016 at American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) Annual Meeting.
